Keepintime: Remixes

This is the bonus CD that accompanied the Keepintime: A Live Recording DVD. A wicked project envisioned by B+ (photographer, film-maker). His obsession with "the break" in hip-hop records drove him to seek out some legendary jazz and soul drummers (Roy Porter, Earl Plamer, Paul Humphrey, James Gadson) and pair them with some of todays best hip-hop DJ's/producers (Babu, Cut Chemist, Nu-Mark, Madlib, Shortkut). The DVD's in 2 parts: the first is the orignal film B+ shot in 2000 followed by the second part, the concert performed four years later in 2004. Again, this is just the Remix CD though. A handful of amazing DJ's including DJ Shadow and King Britt remix excerprts from the film/concert. Awesomeness. I'm not sure why this can't be found for sale anywhere online anymore. It's been repackaged from the tall DVD box to a CD size box even, but neither can be found for sale unless they're used. Mochilla sells their "companion" DVD/CD Brasilintime on their website, so what's up with this? Legal reasons? While you're at the Mochilla site though, check out Suite For Ma Dukes and DJ Dusk's Rootdown Soundclash.

Enjoy!
